Part of living a luxurious lifestyle is hitting up some fabulous clubs. New York happens to have some of the most upscale venues anywhere in the world and some of the most famous people on the guest list. With any posh club in New York, keep in mind, you need either one of these to gain entry: looks, cash, or connections. So, if you’ve got any one of these and want to explore the upscale club scene in New York, be sure to check these out:
The Box
For a night to remember, head over to The Box for some sexy fun and entertainment. The Box is truly unlike any other club in Manhattan; its shows combine burlesque, Cirque Du Soleil flair, and music styles such as hip-hop, classic rock and heavy bass tunes.
It is black-tie optional, but you’ll very well find yourself mingling with Wall Street moguls, celebs and glamorous models, so dress glamorously. The first show begins around 1 am and acts go on all night. In case you get hungry, their late night menu features sweet and savory items.
Table reservations are recommended but keep in mind, you must arrive by 1 am. The minimum charge for table service at The Box is $1,200, seating no more than 4 guests.

Just to give you an idea of how much you’ll spend, the average cost per person is $331.Cocktails will run about $20 each but if you choose bottle service, expect high markups. Something like a bottle of Absolut will cost you around $200.

1 Oak
1 Oak’s name says it all: 1-of-a-kind. Besides 1 Oak’s swanky décor, you’re sure to get your fill of celeb and model sighting. Hailey Baldwin, Justin Bieber, Adriana Lima, and Kim Kardashian have all been spotted here.
But 1 Oak is not just about the celebs, it’s also about great music from world-famous DJs and hitting the dance floor.
You’ll have a better chance of getting in earlier in the night, so come early. To avoid the long line to get in, you’ll definitely want to reserve a table. Standard tables of 8 run $2,000. Their Ultra Premium Table is $4,000 and seats 15 guests.
Location: 453 W 17th Street, New York, NY 10011
The Top of the Standard (the Boom Boom Room)
Another hot club to mingle with “the elite” is the Top of the Standard, a.k.a. the Boom Boom Room. It is the place to be and be seen in NYC.
It’s a place to chill out, listen to live music, get your drink on, even catch some great views of Downtown Manhattan, the Hudson River, and New Jersey, at this ultra-glam day and night club. The bathroom has also been designed for stellar views; its glass walls give you a breathtaking bird’s eye view while you handle your business.
The club also features a fabulous (and reasonable) full menu with dishes like duck confit, blueberry-port braised shortribs, and decadent desserts like bananas foster beignets and a Belgium chocolate s’mores tart. You’ll definitely want to order one to-go!
But the cocktails are not quite as reasonable. Two cocktails could easily run you $40. And, by all means, bring your own cigarettes because the bar charges $20 a pack. And, another tip, unless you’re well-connected (or a star) come early to make getting in as pain free as possible. The later the night goes on, the harder it is to get into the Boom Boom Room. And, always wear upscale cocktail attire.

Rose Bar
Located in the Grammercy Park Hotel, the Rose Bar is yet another sophisticated venue to check out in New York. It’s decorated lavishly in old-world style with soaring ceilings and velvety drapes and chairs.
The Rose Bar touts itself as ”a low-key escape for A-listers looking for a quiet cocktail”. And, speaking of cocktails, they have some fabulous ones like their Bohemian Side Car, Rose and Lychee Martini, Rose Dragon, and Elderflower Smash.
Come thirsty and come hungry. Their late night menu features caviar, foie gras, sliders, and risotto, and the lunch menu offers calamari, salads, and sandwiches. Besides the fabulous fare you’ll also enjoy live entertainment from famous performers like The Cult, Guns N’ Roses, Sean Lennon, and Elefant.
Always make reservations and wear your best cocktail attire when you visit the Rose Bar. Otherwise, you probably won’t get in. They state on their website: Limited reservations are accepted until 9pm. After this time entry is by invitation only.
